Congratulations Waikato Motor Group

Senga and Wendy attended the Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards on 11 November.  It was wonderful to see one of our valued clients - Waikato Motor Group, being presented with the WEL Networks award for businesses employing 15-49 FTEs.  Congratulations to Tracy and the team!

Congratulations Netball Waikato

Congratulations also to our client Netball Waikato who was one of the finalists in the Westpac Business Excellence Awards.  An achievement to be proud of, congratulations to Ben Sinnamon and the team at Netball Waikato.

 

Marathon completed 

(Karen & Kevin Bain - Marathon runners!)

After a fun evening enjoying one too many Sav’s with her running partner; one of our Organisational Developers, Karen Bain, decided to sign up for her first marathon.  Entering the Auckland Marathon was the easy part!  It was then down to serious training.  Karen has admitted even after all the early wake-up calls, and enduring the cold and rain, it was an amazing feeling crossing the finishing line in just over 5.5 hours.  Congratulations Karen completing a Marathon is no easy feat – the Everest team are so proud of you!

Everest supporting McKenzie Centre

Round the Bridges Fun Run and Walk was held on November 13th.  We were pleased to sponsor our Human Resource Specialist, Clare Szabo, by donating online with the McKenzie Centre.   The McKenzie Centre helps children under six with special needs to realise their potential by providing an early intervention service that is child-centred, play- based and family focused.   Clare completed the 12 km run in 1 hour 11 minutes – well done Clare!

Public holiday entitlements

The public holidays over the Christmas and New Year period have special arrangements:
• If the holiday falls on a weekend, and the employee doesn’t normally work on the weekend, the holiday is transferred to the following Monday or Tuesday so that the employee still gets a paid day off if the employee would usually work on these days.
• If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday and the employee normally works on that day, the holiday remains at the traditional day and the employee is entitled to that day off on pay.
