NZTE Management Capability Development Voucher Scheme

The NZTE Management Capability Development Voucher Scheme (CAPDEVS as we like to call it!) has been created to facilitate subsidised training support for small and medium sized businesses.

NZTE Capability Development Vouchers are available through our local Regional Business Partner, Opportunity Hamilton.

The vouchers can be used to help you access services that build your management capabilities, which in turn may accelerate the growth of your business.

To be eligible for the vouchers your business needs to:

  • have fewer than 50 employees
  • be registered for GST in New Zealand
  • operating in a commercial environment
  • privately owned or a Maori Trust
  • demonstrate a desire to innovate and grow.

Vouchers can not be allocated until you have been assessed by Opportunity Hamilton.   Once you have been allocated a Voucher you may be eligible for  up to a 50% subsidy for our training services.

Assertiveness Skills

 

Type: Workshop
Duration: 3 hours with follow up coaching
Content:

The purpose of this workshop is to look at practical tips of how you can become more assertive and thus become a more effective communicator.   It will cover:

  • The Assertiveness Triangle
  • What asserting yourself means and why it is so important
  • Assertiveness Techniques

The purpose of this training is to provide business leaders and CEO's with one-on-one coaching to assist with strategic planning, business planning, personal and professional growth and operational planning.

Content:

The purpose of this workshop is to enhance Manager's knowledge of leading, supporting and carting for their team during times of change.   The workshop will cover:

  • using the ADKAR model change management methodology

Coaching for Performance

Two sessions, three hours in duration with a month session between each session to allow participants an opportunity to apply the model.  

Content:

This training is designed to provide managers with a recognised coaching tool to be able to coach individuals in their team.  The sessions will cover:

  • Introduction to coaching and the "What?, So What?, Now What?" model. This model outlines a framework of questions to assist coaches to be clear on what problems the coachee is experiencing, what the consequences of this problem are, and how to achieve outcomes for each coaching session.
  • Further application of the "What?, So What?, Now What?" model and ensuring participants are embedding the model into their workplace.

The purpose of this workshop is to enable participants to gain an undrestanding of communication preferences for themselves and others.  The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a tool that will be used in the workshop to ascertain different preferences and how these relate to communication.   The tool can be used in a lots of different orgaisational contexts and provides people with practical ways to improve the way they communicate, influence and work together.

  • How our different preferences develop over time.
